9 Lives Arena

9Lives Arena is a highly competitive online RPG developed by Touchhour where players fight out battles against each other in direct 1v1 combat.

Gameplay

Gameplay in 9Lives Arena can be broken down into two major parts: battles in the 9Lives Arena and character/account progression.

Battles in the form of direct confrontation between players in the arena are the main focus of the game. In the training arena, players can fight each other to level up and practice their combat without losing anything if they are defeated. As soon as they feel ready with their current character, the players can enter the 9Lives Arena where victory and inevitable permadeath await.

Between fights, the players are located in their own instanced hub outside of the arena where they can work on the progression for their individual characters as well as overarching account.

Activities in the hub include:

-Collecting materials for crafting weapons and armor

-Fishing

-Interacting with Ooogy

-Making sacrifices at shrines

-Changing abilities on the hotbar

-Practicing on the training dummy

Platform: It will be released on PC initially and then ported to Xbox and Playstation.

We are also developing a companion App for mobile that allows you to order your Ooogy around to do your grinding while you are away from the main game.

Afraid of the grind? Then 9LA has a surprise for you! It’s called an Ooogy, your AI companion that works for you. And here’s the kicker: Ooogies even continue to work while you are away from the game! Think of an Ooogy as a Tamagotchi on steroids. Think that’s great? Well, it gets better. There will even be a companion app! Whether you’re at the beach, at work, or in bed, you can order them around from your phone. You tell them to go mining, and they keep working — just as long as you leave them enough food!

Create a unique hero, train against other players in the training's grounds and level up your character. Only when you feel ready, enter the 9Lives Arena! How many victories can you achieve with 9Lives?

Your account has a shared and persistent bank box where all items and resources are safely stored. Your Ooogy levels up over time and thanks to his help, progression becomes faster as he helps unlock new bloodlines, new spells, new weapon arts and new spirit animals for you which are unlocked permanently for your account.

A character that lost his last life in the 9Lives Arena will turn into an oversized statue if he is one of your three best heroes with the highest amount of personal victories ever achieved.

Unlike in traditional MMORPG's, leveling a character only takes a few hours at most. Yet, when you try new builds you might want to give it some additional practice in the trainings Arena. As your Ooogy progresses you come by great equipment much faster or have it already sitting in your bank box.

Characters have a head, chest, arms, waist and leg slot as well as one or two weapon slots. Mix armor pieces the way you like.

Every item is crafted based on blueprints. When crafted they can turn out grey, green, blue or purple. Grey items have the lowest stat budget and purple have the highest. Develop your own item strategies for your builds in combination with abilities and spells you choose. Which stats end up on your item is totally random. Craft as many as you like to get the items with the kind of stats you prefer. No pay to win here folks!

Our Items run on blockchain technology giving you true item ownership.

You will be able to trade items and characters with other players. You'll be able to see how many of an item still exists in the game and how rare they are. Certain type of items will become more rare over time as they will be taken out of circulation when a character that was wearing them dies permanently in the 9Lives Arena.

Because we are utilizing blockchain technology, anyone can audit and verify the number of items and ownership of items.

The random Ooogies

Like a classic Kinder Surprise Egg you never know what kind of Ooogy you will get.

Random Ooogies offered during our Kickstarter campaign will be a mix of a number of common and 12 royal genes and will therefore vary in appearance. The more royal traits your Ooogy has, the rarer it will be!

There are currently more than 200 million possible genetic combinations for Ooogies.

Statistically speaking, in a group of one million Ooogies, only 2 would end up with all twelve royal traits combined with the mix of common traits. But even then, the odds that those 2 would look the same are near impossible.

The Spirit Warrior - Resurrection Royal

With that mode in place, heroes that died on their last life will not immediately enter the permadeath heaven. They will instead turn into spirit warriors!

These spirit warriors will be able to enter the eternal hunting grounds. A huge environment where you are thrown in with a huge amount of other Spirit warriors. A bit like a Battle Royal on steroids because whenever you kill a player in this mode you get a life back. The moment you have 9 lives restored you teleport out!

Or the moment you actually die you also teleport out. Which means if you died initially as a spirit - you are gone for good and your character turns into a statue! Or if you killed lets say 4 guys and get killed, you port out with 3 lives restored!
