A small town in the Republic of Bashkortostan, has a small but interesting historyThe beginning of this city was laid back in Soviet times in 1980, when, according to the resolution of the Central Committee of the CPSU, it was decided to build the Bashkir nuclear power plplant.

During this period, experienced engineers and designers from the expanses of the Soviet Union were invited to the construction of the city and the NPP. The construction unfolded and proceeded at an accelerated pace. Multi-storey houses, preschool and educational institutions were built for builders and their families. Residential complexes were also built for future workstations. Everything was going great and fast.

In 1986, after the terrible accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, it was decided to suspend the construction of the Bashkir nuclear power plant. And after the Union collapsed, the construction was completely stopped by the efforts of the Green movement. Almost the entire population was left without work and means of livelihood

Thanks to the competent approach of the President of Bashkortostan, a number of draft laws were developed that provided tax benefits for those enterprises that created new jobs. The same scheme works smoothly to this day. Thanks to this competent approach, the city has a developed infrastructure and there are enterprises that work and produce products that are in demand even abroad.

The name Agidel was given to this small town in honor of a small but picturesque river. Translated from Bashkir, Agidel means "white".

There are only about 15,000 people living in the city, but there are different ethnic composition. A large number are Tatars, then Bashkirs and Russians.

.Interesting climatic conditions of the city, which, like the whole of Bashkortostan, is located in the Southern Urals. In winter, the climate is caused by severe frosts that come from Siberia, and in summer by high temperatures, which are set under the influence of the Atlantic

air masses. The climate in the city is of a temperate continental type. Winters are cold and summers are hot. Snow cover is established from mid-November, the coldest month is January.

There are two secondary schools and one gymnasium in Agideli. There are two kindergartens, in addition, a sports school and a children's leisure center. A branch of the Ufa Fuel and Energy College has been opened here for young people.

At the moment, the city is one of the most comfortable cities in the republic. A project on the construction of an industrial multi-profile park was adopted.

A proposal is being considered to continue the construction of a nuclear power plant.
