Antoine François, comte de Fourcroy

Antoine François, comte de Fourcroy (1755-1809) was a French chemist, politician, and government minister. Born in Paris on June 15, 1755, he later received his doctoral tutelage under Antoine Lavoisier, a prominent chemist of the era. Fourcroy's own legacy as a mentor lives on through his student, Louis Nicolas Vauquelin.

As a citizen of France, Fourcroy contributed to multiple fields in his lifetime, gaining prominence for his work in chemistry as well as his political and ministerial service in the government.
