Antonín Dvořák was born on September 8, 1841, in Nelahozeves and held citizenship in both Austria-Hungary and the Kingdom of Bohemia . Throughout his career, Dvořák worked as a composer, organist, and professor . He mainly composed music in the genres of Opera and Classical music and was active in the music industry . Dvořák passed away in Prague on May 1, 1904 .
Among Dvořák's many notable works are his Symphony No. 9 , Cello Concerto , The Devil and Kate , The Jacobin , Slavonic Dances , and Requiem . He also created other acclaimed compositions, such as his Symphony No. 1, The Cunning Peasant, Armida, Dimitrij, The Stubborn Lovers, King and Charcoal Burner, Stabat Mater, Saint Ludmila (oratorio), Alfred, and Biblical Songs.
