Automata Network is a privacy middleware.
Automata Network is a decentralized service protocol with middleware privacy software for dApps on multiple blockchains. The software offers versatile use cases such as anonymous voting, minimization of mined tokens (MEV strategy) and trackingless indexing by using the latest cryptographic and privacy algorithms and trust computing technologies.
A solution stack similar to the Automat middleware consists of Witness, an anonymous autonomous voting service for governance; Pipeline, MEV minimization solution for DEX; and Librarian, an indexing service for users without the need for tracking.
• Witness: Anonymous Voting Witness is an offline voting service for voters who do not want to reveal their identity and opinion in order to anonymously participate in project management. In addition to supporting Ethereum, Binance Smart Chain, and other substrate-based EVM-compatible chains, features include:
• Low Cost - Voting is off-grid so there are no gas costs and a wider range of token holders can participate in governance without being held back by high gas fees.
• Chainhook - when enabled, starts execution in a chain based on voting results. Chainhook provides a secure invocation of an on-chain smart contract registered when an offer was created.
• Privacy - the user can select different types of votes with different levels of privacy, such as Public (full disclosure of the voter's address and number of votes), Medium (only the number of votes) and Private (only the result of the vote is published - the identity of the voter and the number of votes are not published).
• Modular - each of these features can be used both standalone and together, for example if a project wants to use Witness as a signaling tool without running in a chain, this is also possible.
• Multi-chain support - Support for Ethereum, Binance Smart Chain, and other substrate-compatible EVM chains.
• Pipeline: The MEV Minimization Conveyor is a chain-independent solution to the MEV problem that can work seamlessly with DEXs such as Uniswap without any modifications. It accepts and outputs transactions in a specific order, thereby creating a no-preprocessing zone that eliminates the chaos of transaction reordering. Features include:
• Gasless trading - the user will be able to trade without paying directly for gas.
• Anti-front-running - No pre-transactions for trading pairs that support Conveyor.
• Confidentiality when placing an order - the order of transactions is not disclosed if it is not defined and cannot be changed. No one, including hosting nodes, will know the order until the moment of acceptance.
• Full integration - DEX on multiple platforms can be supported with low integration overhead.
Project Highlights
• Automata Network aims to be a recognized privacy service for DeFi and Web3 with its compelling privacy middleware offering.
• Existing solutions have fallen short of expectations due to various trade-offs in usability for privacy as their core value proposition. Automata expects users to value functionality and ease of use over idealism.
• Privacy automation focused solutions are built to provide privacy in native blockchain environment in an intuitive and seamless manner. This means that solutions do not require modification and integration costs, if any, are negligible.
• Automata supports a wide range of applications specifically built for Web3, including anonymous voting, MEV minimization, and trackingless indexing. Developers will have the best open source building blocks and APIs. Users can securely transact and regain control of their identity. People have more options and choices as Web3 economic activity increases.
• The machine's technical infrastructure is built on computing secured by hardware such as Intel SGX, along with the industry's first implementation of Oblivious RAM for dApps. This creates a solid foundation for the software and our protocol.
• Automata is also led by an experienced development team that frequently publishes privacy and security research papers at top level conferences including USENIX Security, NDSS, RAID, EuroSys and ICDCS.
