Borys Paton

Borys Paton was born in Kyiv on November 27, 1918, to father Evgeny Paton. He held citizenship in the Soviet Union and later in Ukraine. Paton was educated at Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute and National Aviation University.

Throughout his life, he had multiple occupations, such as a scientist, engineer, politician, metallurgist, and inventor. Borys Paton passed away on August 19, 2020, in Kyiv.

Paton received numerous awards, including the Order of Freedom, Order of Prince Yaroslav the Wise, Order "For Merit to the Fatherland", Hero of Socialist Labor, and Order of Friendship of Peoples. He was also awarded the Order "For Merit to the Fatherland", 2nd class, Order of the October Revolution, Order of Lenin, Order of the Red Banner of Labour, Order of Honor, Order of Dostyk 2nd class, Stalin Prize, Lenin Prize, Triumph Award, and Lomonosov Gold Medal.
