In the final years of his schooling he shifted his focus onto just Football and Track, completing the Mississippi State Championship in hurdles every year of highschool.

As somebody who cared about his community and his country, being a part of the National Guard was the perfect route for him. There he learned the importance of duty and discipline, traits that he felt led to his future successes.
