From the beginning of its broadcast, the name "News 24 TV Channel" was present, later this phrase was shortened to the current name "Channel 24", which is used, in particular, in the updated company logo and on the official website of "24tv.ua".
It is a part of the media holding of TRK Lux, which is owned by Kateryna Kit-Sadova. News of politics, economics, show business, sports are updated live. Broadcast throughout Ukraine.
24 The channel has been broadcasting since March 1, 2006. The average daily share is 1.1%, the rating is 0.17% (50+ panel, according to Neelsen).
In the fall of 2009, the channel rebranded, changing the design from orange and black to red, white and silver.
Channel 24 provides news in information blocks: the latest events in the political arena of Ukraine and the world, news of the economy, sports, show business, technology, cars, tourism, etc. In addition, the viewer receives information about the weather, exchange rates.
Until 2014, the news was presented in the form of a newsreel. Since 2014, the channel has changed its format by introducing regular presenters and increasing the number of information and analytical programs and shows.
On June 27, 2017, at about 2:00 pm, the TV channel was hacked by the Petya virus, as a result of which the TV channel and its website 24tv.ua were shut down for a while. In the following days, the TV channel gradually resumed broadcasting, which was noticeable on the air.
You can watch the TV channel online on the website or on your mobile phone via the "News 24" application (from the AppStore for iPhone and from the Google Play Market for Android). Channel 24 was the first in Ukraine to create and implement Smart TV applications for Samsung, LG and Dune HD.
In the summer of 2010, the Football 24 website, which tracks football news from Ukraine, England, Spain, Italy, Germany and international European tournaments, was launched on the channel's official website.
The channel has another fraternal project - Radio "Maximum" and information and analytical resource Zaxid.net.
In 2021, the share of the TV channel was 0.53% with a rating of 0.06% (Nielsen rating system data, audience 18-54 of the city 50 thousand +, 20th place among Ukrainian channels).
Newscasts are broadcast on weekdays every hour in the morning and every two hours - during the day and in the evening from 7 to 22. The weekend news is broadcast every two hours from 9 to 21. daily - Tatiana Krugova and Daria Kudimova. The evening block consists of author's projects by Artem Ovdienko and other hosts of the channel. In general, the channel was the first to abandon the "classic" news releases in favor of the author's submission of information with assessment of events and analytics.
