The station on the Serpukhovsko-Timiryazevskaya Line of the Moscow Metro. Opened as part of the Yuzhnaya - Serpukhovskaya section on November 8, 1983
Chertanovskaya was built on the outskirts of Moscow in very difficult geological conditions for those times, but the transport infrastructure of Moscow was also complex. This project was built under the personal supervision of the architect Nina Aleshina and later finalized at the level of the columns and ceiling
The station has 2 rows of 26 columns on each side. The walls of the columns and railroad tracks are lined with white marble. The walls are adorned with inserts from popular artists. The floor is lined with a geometric pattern of red and dark granite. The first time after the opening, the station was illuminated by metal halide lamps.
