Diego Forlán

Diego Forlán (born 19 May 1979) is a Uruguayan former football player from Montevideo. He has citizenship in Uruguay and is the son of Pablo Forlán. Diego Forlán is also known by the pseudonym, "Cachavacha".

Throughout his career, Forlán has received numerous awards. Some of these include the FA Community Shield, FA Cup, Premier League, Campeonato Gaúcho, and Primera división.

Additionally, he has earned individual accolades such as the Campeonato Gaucho top scorer, European Golden Shoe, Hong Kong Premier League, and Copa América. Forlán has also been recognized as the La Liga Ibero-American Player of the Year, Pichichi Trophy winner, and received the FIFA World Cup Golden Boot.

For his performances in international competitions, Diego Forlán was named to the FIFA World Cup Dream Team and won the FIFA World Cup Golden Ball. He also took home the UEFA Europa League Final Man of The Match award and the FIFA World Cup Goal of the Tournament.
