The biggest difference between dropshipping and the standard retail model is that the merchant doesn't need to stock or own the products. Instead, the merchant purchases products after the order placed from a third party (a wholesaler or manufacturer) to fulfill orders.
Normally it have these steps.
1. you need find some dropshipping suppliers, and ask for product information such as price & product images
2. upload the products to your retail store, and set a higher price
3. when your customer purchase the products, send all the order information include the shipping address and product details to the dropshipping supplier
4. the dropshipping supplier fullfill the order without any contact details about the supplier, and give back the tracking number and shipping method to you
5. then you fullfill your order with this tracking information and finish the order
