Eugene O'Neill, also known as Eugene Gladstone O'Neill, was born on October 16, 1888, in New York City, and passed away on November 27, 1953, in Boston. O'Neill held American citizenship and was a playwright, screenwriter, writer, and author. He attended Princeton University for his education.
He was the son of Ella O'Neill and had two children: Oona O'Neill and Eugene O'Neill Jr. Some of O'Neill's notable works include "Mourning Becomes Electra", "All God's Chillun Got Wings", and "The Iceman Cometh". O'Neill is known for being an American playwright and Nobel laureate in Literature.
