The production of electronic vaporizers under the HQD brand was launched in 2014 by the Chinese company Shenzhen hanqingda Technology Co., Ltd.

HQD refers to e-cigarettes that are liquid produced using a nicotine salt formula.

Along with IQOS and Juul, HQD is one of the most popular ENDS among Russian youth. According to the newspaper Kommersant, the brand occupies 80% of the disposable electronic cigarette market in Russia.

Since 2020, the company has also begun to produce portable sub-systems.

Several high-profile cases were associated with the brand's products in Russia, in connection with which, the Government of the Russian Federation introduced restrictive amendments to the Federal Law concerning the rules for selling tobacco heating devices and tobacco sticks. Similar measures are planned to be introduced by the Australian Government in 2021-2022
