Hugo Gyldén (29 May 1841 – 9 November 1896) was an astronomer and mathematician born in Helsinki. He studied at the University of Helsinki and held Swedish citizenship. Gyldén's doctoral advisor was Peter Andreas Hansen, and he mentored doctoral students Oskar Backlund and Carl Charlier. Gyldén passed away in Stockholm on 9 November 1896.
