Inception Mobile is a Canadian company that participated in the Communitech Hyperdrive 02/01/13 cohort.The technology created by the company was acquired by Microsoft and is now used in the software Windows Bridge for iOS.
The product created by Inception Mobile was open sourced and could be used across platforms as a development tool. As it is used in Windows Bridge for iOS, users first have to download Microsoft's Visual Studio. Then, they can download the binary from GitHub and extract the file to their personal computer. Users can then import their programming projects to alter them or start a new project in the Objective-C computer programming language. They can keep their mobile applications in Objective-C and combine iOS frameworks with features available to Windows users. Using the product, developers can convert their existing iOS mobile applications to Windows compatibility.
The company had a seed investment round in 2013. Its investors were Communitech Hyperdrive and Samsung Open Innovation Center. The amount for which it was acquired is undisclosed.
