Joe Roth is an American film producer and director who was born on July 13, 1948, in New York City. He is a citizen of the United States and was educated at the Boston University College of Communication. Roth is the founder of Caravan Pictures, a film production company. In addition to being a film producer, he is also a film director.
As a film producer, Roth has contributed to the creation of multiple films including "In the Heart of the Sea", "The Huntsman: Winter's War", and "Maleficent". He has also directed films such as "America's Sweethearts". Outside of his work in the film industry, he is involved with Seattle Sounders FC, a subsidiary team in the sport of soccer.
