Julius of Brunswick-Lüneburg (1528-1589) was a German Duke and politician . Born in Wolfenbüttel and a member of the House of Welf, he was the child of Henry V, Duke of Brunswick-Lüneburg. Julius was known for being the Duke of Brunswick-Lüneburg and the ruling Prince of Brunswick-Wolfenbüttel.
He was the father of several children, including Henry Julius, Duke of Brunswick-Lüneburg, Maria of Brunswick-Lüneburg, Sophie Hedwig of Brunswick-Wolfenbüttel, Elisabeth of Brunswick-Wolfenbüttel (1567–1618), Philip Sigismund of Brunswick-Wolfenbüttel, Augusta Dorothea, Abbess of Gandersheim, and Hedwig of Brunswick-Wolfenbüttel.
Julius of Brunswick-Lüneburg was educated at the Old University of Leuven and held the nationality and country of citizenship of Germany.
