Kolmi masks are manufactured by the Medicom® Group – one of the world’s leading manufacturers of high-quality single-use preventative and infection control products for the medical and dental industries.

We have nine fully owned manufacturing facilities spread across the world and sell in over 95 countries.

The Kolmi masks have been manufactured in Europe for over 45 years and we are the number one supplier of masks to the French health industry. In 2020 we opened factories across the world including a purpose-built factory dedicated to supplying the NHS.

2020

Kolmi opens a UK factory and becomes one of the key suppliers of single-use masks to the NHS.

2012

Kolmi celebrates its 40th anniversary. Over two billion single-use masks have been produced since launch.

2011

Medicom acquires the majority shareholding in Kolmi-Hopen.

2007

Kolmi becomes the leading supplier of surgical masks for the operating theatre in France.

Kolmi creates its first non-woven single-use mask.

Kolmi manufactures Europe’s first single-use paper mask.

Factory is established in Angers specialising in cigarette paper manufacturing.

Our commitment to quality and manufacturing is only matched by our commitment to the NHS. The new UK manufacturing facility is dedicated to supplying the NHS, ensuring a guaranteed sovereignty of supply.

Our new factory, purpose-built here in the UK, is dedicated to the manufacture and supply of Type II R & FFP3 masks. Furthermore, we have partnered with world leading manufacturers of non-woven materials here in the UK.

Our commitment does not stop at the masks. We have worked with four separate Trusts to develop a range of materials and tools to help fit testers and users alike.

PACKAGING

With all our masks we have developed packaging that is easy to identify, highlights the key features and makes it easy for the wearer to don the masks each and every time. Each of our packs converts into a display box with the donning instructions clearly displayed.

Each of the three sizes of FFP3 mask are also easy to recognise through simple colour coding on the outside of the pack. In addition, each individual mask is flow wrapped with the donning instructions clearly printed.
