Mariupol State University is the same age as the independent Ukrainian state, created thanks to the democratic transformations in the country. Founded in 1991 in a city of half a million people, MSU has undergone a dynamic development from the College of Humanities at DonSU to the University of the IV level of accreditation, the only classical university in the Donetsk region.
Today Mariupol State University is an authoritative institution of higher education, a center of quality training of Ukrainian intellectuals in the east of the country, which plays an important role in developing effective cooperation between Ukraine and foreign countries in education, science and culture.
MSU trains specialists in 40 bachelor's and 32 master's programs. The university has 5 faculties and 21 departments with more than 250 highly qualified teachers.
An important condition for the quality of educational services is the developed material and technical base of the university.
