Mass Effect 3 is the third Mass Effect game, which is a sequel to Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2. The last game of the Shepard(a) Trilogy. In 2021, an updated version of Mass Effect 3 is released along with the first and second parts in the Mass Effect: Legendary Edition compilation for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.

For the single-player game
"From the Ashes" is the first DLC released on the day of the game's release. It adds a new partner to Shepard's squad - the last Protean named Yavik. Interesting facts
The licensed plastic DVD-box edition of the game, produced in Russia, contains two installation discs. The first disc depicts Earth from space before the Reapers attack, and the second disc shows the planet has already been captured by the Reapers.
Mass Effect 3 is the only trilogy game whose official cover depicts Shepard without members of his squad.
