Medal "For Bravery" (USSR)

The medal "For Bravery" was established by the Decree of the Presidium of the USSR Armed Forces of 17.10.1938 on the establishment of the medal "For Bravery". The Regulations on the medal state: "The Medal for Bravery was established to award for personal courage and bravery shown in the defense of the socialist Fatherland and the performance of military duty. The medal "For Bravery" is awarded to servicemen of the Red Army, Navy, border and internal troops and other citizens of the USSR." "For Bravery" is the highest medal in the USSR award system.
