Medal "For Distinction in Military Service" - departmental medal of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, established by order of the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation № 123 of March 27, 1995. The medal was established again by order of the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation № 85 on March 5, 2009. By the same order the order of the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation №123 of 1995 was declared invalid.
