The memorial complex is a place to remember events and heroes; a place to reflect on what we fought for and the heavy losses we made to achieve change. A place that should not only remind us but also fill us with optimism.
The Memorial to the Heavenly Hundred Heroes was opened on August 23, 2019. Its total area reaches 550 m². The memorial complex combines multi-level components: The Square of Remembrance and Commemoration with a memorial stele and a pedestrian Bridge Museum commemorating the events of the Revolution of Dignity. Corten steel was the main material used in the construction of the complex. It changes over time and takes on the appearance of rusty metal. Symbolically, this rusty surface conveys the events that took place on the Maidan: burning fire, smoke, burnt barricades.
