Mihajlo Pupin

Mihajlo Pupin was born on October 9, 1858, in Idvor , and later held citizenship in both the United States and the Austrian Empire . He was a chemist , physicist , engineer , scientist , mathematician , and inventor .

Pupin studied at several prominent institutions, including the Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Science , Humboldt University of Berlin , Frederick William University , and the University of Cambridge . His doctoral advisor was the renowned physicist Hermann von Helmholtz .

Mihajlo Pupin passed away on March 12, 1935, in New York City .
