Moonbeam

Moonbeam is a bridge platform focused on interoperability between EthereumEthereum and PolkadotPolkadot. Moonbeam aims to provide developers with a lower entry threshold for developing Ethereum-compatible dapps on a more cost-effective platform like Polkadot. This blockchain interoperability allows developers to leverage their existing Ethereum smart contracts and dApp interfaces to migrate to Moonbeam, providing cross-liquidity between Ethereum and Polkadot.

Moonriver is Moonbeam's affiliate network. Moonriver is a CanaryNet based in KusamaKusama where new code can be submitted, tested and verified under real economic conditions. Once verified, the same code can be sent from MoonriverMoonriver on Kusama to Moonbeam on Polkadot. Moonriver recently won a slot in the Kusama Parachain Auction. Moonriver and Moonbeam launch 5-step network launch process. Using Moonbeam gives Polkadot developers access to the Ethereum development toolchain.

GlimmerGlimmer (GLMR) is the utility token of the Moonbeam Network, Moonbeam’s primary deployment on the Polkadot network that serves as a developer-friendly parachain. Moonbeam will launch after Moonriver, it’s “Canarynet.”
