Club Atlético Newell's Old Boys, often referred to as Newell's Old Boys, is an Argentinian sports club based in Rosario, Santa Fe. The club was founded on November 3, 1884 and is primarily known for its football team, which is part of both the sport and football industries, as well as association football. Newell's Old Boys is considered one of the notable football clubs in Argentina and goes by the nickname La Lepra, meaning "The Lepers".
Newell's Old Boys competes with many other teams, including but not limited to Boca Juniors, Defensa y Justicia, Talleres de Córdoba, Club Atlético Vélez Sarsfield, Estudiantes de La Plata, Club Atlético Huracán and Rosario Central. Numerous other clubs, such as Racing Club de Avellaneda and San Lorenzo de Almagro, also serve as competitors for Newell's Old Boys.
