Big data analytics is a term used for the process of looking for specific information in big sets of data. Big data analytics makes it possible to find trends, correlations, and patterns that would not be apparent with a smaller volume of data.

Octopai founders are former BI leaders in organizations where they constantly struggled with using silo-based tools. Having to manually trace the data journey every time they needed to locate specific metadata took them hours and was super inaccurate. They decided to apply their frustration to innovation as they set out on a mission to help BI groups deal with this pain point.
