Oscar Robertson, born Oscar Palmer Robertson on November 24, 1938, is a former basketball player from the United States. He was born in Charlotte, Tennessee and attended Crispus Attucks High School before studying at the University of Cincinnati.
Robertson's professional career is distinguished by numerous awards, such as Most Valuable Player in the NBA, NBA Rookie of the Year, NBA champion, NBA regular season leader in assists, NBA regular season leader in minutes, NBA All-Star Game MVP, and Oscar Robertson Prize. He was also recognized as a Top 35 NBA player and one of the 50 Greatest Players in NBA History.
Robertson is married to Yvonne Crittenden and has three children: Tia Elaine Robertson, Shane Yvonne Robertson, and Marie Robertson. His parents are Bailey and Mazell Robertson.
