Peter O'Toole (born Peter Seamus Lorcan O'Toole; August 2, 1932 – December 14, 2013) was an actor, film producer, and film director from the Republic of Ireland and the United Kingdom. He was born in Connemara, Ireland and received his education at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. O'Toole passed away in Wellington Hospital, London.
Throughout his career, O'Toole was recognized with numerous awards, including BAFTA Award, Golden Globe Awards, Grammy Awards, and Primetime Emmy Award. He was also the recipient of honors from the British Independent Film Awards, Critics' Choice Movie Awards, and many other prestigious organizations.
Some of O'Toole's notable works include his roles in CHiPs, The Ruling Class, The Stunt Man, and My Favorite Year. He is also the father of radio presenter Kate O'Toole.
