Why multi-chain?
Multi-chain capability on prediction markets allows a wider range of users and communities to predict the future and forecast events. Our goal is to build the best forecasting tool for use-cases such as crypto-markets, real-world event outcomes, sports, and more. The more chains and communities that those chains represent that are able to use the Polkamarkets Protocol with their native assets, the more adoption and use for prediction markets grow.

Users on both Moonbeam and Moonriver are now able to use native assets to use the Polkamarkets Protocol, without having to bridge first. This is a critical step towards lowering the barrier to entry for prediction markets use. The future roadmap for the Polkamarkets Protocol includes the support of additional chains as development rolls on, in a multi-chain paradigm.
Bridge your POLK from the Ethereum Network to Moonbeam Network.
If you hold POLK in Ethereum and desire to move it to Moonbeam, it’s possible to do so through the Meter bridge to the Moonbeam Network.
Check our guide on how to perform it here: https://help.polkamarkets.com/en/articles/5917503-how-to-bridge-polk-from-ethereum-to-moonbeam
You’ll be able to bridge your POLK back to Ethereum Network using the same exact process. Just switch the “To” and “From” networks on Meter and repeat the steps above.
Deployment on other EVMs such as Polygon, Avalanche, and much more.
Being a multi-chain platform requires a lot of effort developing and improving app performance in order to fulfill certain requirements of each chain. Partnering and integrating with the right networks is part of the Polkamarkets Labs’ roadmap.
We will be continuously working on development in order to progress on our roadmap.
Fiat Ramp Integration.
Mobile App development.
Dynamic Markets News Aggregation.
POLK V2 Protocol Governance DAO.
Polkamarkets Alliance Group.
The Polkamarkets Protocol is now available on the most used EVMs for both Kusama (Moonriver) and Polkadot (Moonbeam) relayers.
We will continue to strive to add value to the Polkadot/Kusama Ecosystem via EVM compatible ecosystems and continue R&D into Substrate direct modeling of Solidity protocols into substrate-based ones.
You can read more in our Public Roadmap. We update it on a bi-weekly basis (once per two weeks). All development only mentions the Protocol Side of Development. Stay tuned and up to date by joining our Discord Server.
We are hiring!
We look forward to the next steps and if you are looking to join a great project, please drop us your resume here! At Polkamarkets Labs, we are looking for two new members:
Node.js & Solidity Developer (apply)
Chief of Ecosystem Growth (apply)
About Moonbeam Network
Moonbeam is an Ethereum-compatible smart contract platform on the Polkadot network that makes it easy to build natively interoperable applications. This Ethereum compatibility allows developers to deploy existing Solidity smart contracts and DApp frontends to Moonbeam with minimal changes. As a parachain on the Polkadot network, Moonbeam will benefit from the shared security of the Polkadot relay chain and integrations with other chains that are connected to Polkadot.
