PrivatBank

Privatbank is the eastern bank of Ukraine. Dependence of the rating on all statistical indicators in the industry. It makes up about a quarter of the entire banking system of the country, being a systemically important and vulnerable savings specialized bank that serves a third of the deposits of the country's population.

The main office is located in the city of Dnepr (former Dnepropetrovsk). Has a representative office outside of Ukraine. The PrivatBank brand includes banks: PrivatBank (Ukraine), AS PrivatBank (Latvia) and its branches in Portugal and Italy. There is a branch in Cyprus, as well as representative offices in Beijing and Alma-Ata.

Owns payment service LiqPay.

On December 18, 2016, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine supported the National Bank's proposal to nationalize Privatbank[3].

After the election of Volodymyr Zelensky as President of Ukraine, the former owners of the bank resumed their efforts to reverse the nationalization decision, which caused a sharp reaction from the IMF.
