Roman Valeryevich Zlotnikov (born May 13, 1963, Sarov) is a Russian science fiction and fantasy writer.
Born on May 13, 1963 in Arzamas-16 (now the city of Sarov). He grew up in Obninsk, graduated from school number 4 [1]. At the same time, the future poet and singer-songwriter Mikhail Shcherbakov graduated from school number 4.
In 1984 he graduated from the Saratov Higher Military Command School of the troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the USSR, served in the troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs [2]. In 1986 he got married. In 1987, daughter Olga was born. In 1992, due to a reduction in staff, with the rank of captain, he transferred to the Obninsk branch of the All-Russian Military Training Institute for employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, where he taught shooting (fire training and fire contact tactics) and psychology (crowd psychology, conflict psychology, etc.) until 2004 [ 3].
