Roman Zlotnikov

Roman Valeryevich Zlotnikov (born May 13, 1963, Sarov) is a Russian science fiction and fantasy writer.

Born on May 13, 1963 in Arzamas-16 (now the city of Sarov). He grew up in Obninsk, graduated from school number 4 [1]. At the same time, the future poet and singer-songwriter Mikhail Shcherbakov graduated from school number 4.

In 1984 he graduated from the Saratov Higher Military Command School of the troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the USSR, served in the troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs [2]. In 1986 he got married. In 1987, daughter Olga was born. In 1992, due to a reduction in staff, with the rank of captain, he transferred to the Obninsk branch of the All-Russian Military Training Institute for employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, where he taught shooting (fire training and fire contact tactics) and psychology (crowd psychology, conflict psychology, etc.) until 2004 [ 3]. Has published scientific works, participated in scientific conferences. In 1993, the son Ivan was born.

Since 1998, he has been writing fantasy books, making his debut with the space opera Swords Over the Stars. He became famous as a master of a fantastic action movie. By 2013, Zlotnikov's books were published with a total circulation of about 10 million copies[3]. Most of the books published by the publishing house "Armada" ("Alpha book"). Some books were published by the publishing houses "Olma", "Lenizdat", "Eksmo", "Azbuka", "Ripol-classic". Since 2010, he has been actively collaborating with the AST publishing house.

He has the rank of colonel of militia[4]. Among other things, he was involved in the development of concepts and text content for websites, the development of advertising materials[4].

Since 2020, a member of the Central Council of the New People party.
