Anton Alexandrovich Shagin (born April 2, 1984, Kimry, Kalininskaya Oblast, RSFSR, USSR) is a Russian theater, film and voice actor and poet. He is a laureate of the Russian Federation Government Award (2012) and the Russian Federation President Award (2017).
Anton Gorshkov (Shagin) was born April 2, 1984 in the town of Kimry, Tver region. His childhood passed in the city of Karachev (Bryansk region), where he was transported at the age of eight months by his grandfather, Yuri Konstantinovich Gorshkov. He studied at the school of S. M. Kirov. Before school, Anton bore the surname Gorshkov (Shagin was his stepfather's surname). When Anton was 14 years old, his mother died. After the 9th grade of high school he went to study at the vocational school as a toolmaker mechanic. Participated in amateur art activities. After working for one year after graduating from vocational school, he went to Moscow to enroll in the School-Studio of the Moscow Art Theatre.
In 2002 he entered and in 2006 graduated from the acting department of the Moscow Art Theatre School Studio (course supervisors - Igor Yakovlevich Zolotovitsky and Sergey Ivanovich Zemtsov).
From 2006 to 2009 he was an actor at the Russian Academic Youth Theater (RAMT) in Moscow.
From 2009 to the present, he has served in the troupe of the Moscow State Lenkom Theater.
He writes poetry and is the author of the anthologies Her. Poems" (2014) and "Antonovka" (2019). Performs solo poetry programs.
In 2021 he participated in the TV channel Russia-1's project Dancing with the Stars. Took 5th place.
