Solonka is a city of Ukraine founded in 1433.
In 2020, the budget of Solonkivska OTG amounted to UAH 162,366 million
In Solonka there is a section of the Kyokushin Karate Sports Club "Kanku" at the Solonka People's House.
The village is the center of the Solonkiv Territorial Community, in recent years after the reform of local self-government is very active.
Scholars suggest that the name "Solonka" is derived from the word "salt", because there stopped and traded Chumaks, who brought salt from southern Ukraine to all of Europe.
The first mention of the village dates back to 1433, but this year can not be considered the year of the village's founding, as the settlement within the modern Solonka existed much earlier.
