A Scottish singer-songwriter.
Thomas Alexander Walker (born 17 December 1991) is a Scottish singer-songwriter. He was trained at the stage school London College of Creative Media, and was given a contract soon after. He rose to fame after the release of his single "Leave a Light On", which peaked at number 7 on the UK Singles Chart in June 2018.
Tom Walker, winner of the BRITs ‘British Breakthrough Act’ 2019, has taken the charts by storm this year. Without doubt Tom has established himself as a major voice in music with his honesty and passion. His plaintive, acoustic driven new single ‘Better Half Of Me’, is as stunning and addictive as previous certified Platinum hits ‘Leave A Light On’ And ‘Just You And I’ and looks set to follow in the same footsteps. All tracks feature on the special deluxe edition of his smash hit debut album ‘What A Time To Be Alive’, released November 8th.
2020
In November 2019, Walker confirmed he had begun working on his second studio album. Following this, in early 2020, What a Time to Be Alive achieved platinum accreditation by the British Phonographic Industry for sales of over 300,000 units in the UK.
As part of "Royal Carols: Together at Christmas", Tom Walker performed "For Those Who Can't Be Here" with Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge playing piano.
