Torpedo

A professional hockey club that plays in the Continental Hockey League. The club is located in the city of Nizhny Novgorod. The club was founded on December 26, 1946

Achievements

• Silver medalist of the USSR championship in 1961. The first non-Moscow team to win medals in the USSR championship and reach the final of the USSR Cup (1961).
• Fourth place in the USSR Championship (1981–1982 and 1984–1985), reaching the quarterfinals of the MHL (1994–1995), reaching the 1/8 finals of the Super League (1999–2000), first place in the first and second stages of the major league (2002– 2003), reaching the semi-finals of the major league (2004-2005), reaching the 1/4 finals of the KHL (2011/2012)
• Winner of prizes - "Fair Game" in 1975, "Thunderstorms of Authorities" in 1983 and 1985, "Progress Cup" in 1982.
• Winner of major international tournaments: Bucharest Cup 1960 and 1962, Polar Cup 1968, 1972 and 1974, Danube Cup 1966, Miner's Cup 1958, Henninger Cup 1986, Spengler Cup finalists 1972 th. Winner of the tournament for the prizes of the newspaper "Soviet Sport" in 1960 and the Belyaev Memorial Tournament in 1971 and 2006, Winner of the Cup of the Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region (2009, 2011, 2013, 2016), Steel Cup 2015, Dukla Cup 2016, Bodense Cup 2017
