Town in southern Georgia
The Tbilisi-Akhalkalaki railway line passes through the city. Near the city is the railway station Tsalka. The city is the capital of the Tsalka administrative region, which includes about 48 villages, more than 40 of which were inhabited by Greeks.
The site is located on the Trialeti plateau - approximately 1600 meters above sea level; this means that even in summer the city remains a cool place.
The city has a hydroelectric power station (HPP), located on the shores of Lake Tsalka
