The University of Nebraska–Lincoln (UNL) is a public educational institute located in Lincoln, Nebraska, United States. Established in 1869, UNL is a part of the University of Nebraska System. The university operates in industries including education, higher education, and university.
UNL is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission, Engineering Accreditation Commission (EAC) of ABET, Computing Accreditation Commission (CAC) of ABET, American Bar Association, Council of the Section of Legal Education and Admissions to the Bar, Applied and Natural Science Accreditation Commission of ABET, and the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business.
Aside from being a member of the University of Nebraska System, UNL is also affiliated with organizations such as the National Collegiate Athletic Association, American Association of State Colleges and Universities, Association of American Universities, National Athletic Association, Association of Public and Land, and the Big Ten Academic Alliance.
The university is home to the Lied Center for Performing Arts as a subsidiary and has spun off Drone Amplified, Inc., a company working in the electronic design automation industry. The UNL motto is "Literis Dedicata et Omnibus Artibus".
