Walter Layton, 1st Baron Layton (born March 15, 1884, in London) was a British editor, politician, and economist. He held dual citizenship with the United Kingdom and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland.
He attended King's College School, Westminster City School, and University College London (UCL). Layton had three children: Christopher Layton, Michael Layton, who succeeded him as the 2nd Baron Layton, and David Layton.
