War Thunder

War Thunder is a free-to-play multiplayer video game with simulation elements of combat aviation, helicopters, armored vehicles and fleet of the pre-war period, as well as World War II and post-war period. The game was announced in 2011, then released in November 2012 in open beta. The worldwide release was in January 2013.

The developer and publisher is a Russian-hungarian video game developer Gaijin Entertainment. The company was founded in 2002 in Moscow by Anton and Kirill Yudintsev. Now is headquartered in Germany.

Publisher in China is Tencent Games.

War Thunder is built on the proprietary game engine named Dagor engine. The original version of the engine was developed by Gaijin Entertainment. For further developments in 2005 was established Dagor Technologies.

Game features:

• Over 2,000 detailed recreated models of combat planes, helicopters, ships and armored vehicles on tracks and wheels.
• Aviation, ground forces and fleet fight together in the same battle, as they did in real battles.
• Periodic major updates adding new vehicles, maps, missions and nations to the game.
• 100 maps representing the main theaters of combat in the history of the 20th century.
• Cross-platform player battles on Windows PC, PS4, PS5, Mac, Linux, Xbox One, Xbox Series XS - all on one server.
• Dozens of multiplayer game modes and regular in-game events.
• A variety of single-player and co-op content: historical and dynamic campaigns, individual missions, mission editor

War Thunder has next modes: arcade battles, realistic battles, simulator battles, which vastly differ in gaming experience, speed, control, graphics.
