Perennial herbaceous plant
Cloudberry (Latin Rubus chamaemorus) is a species of perennial herbaceous plants of the genus Rubus (Rubus) of the Rosaceae family.
The name
"Cloudberry" is both the name of the plant and its fruits.
In ancient times they were called "swamp amber", "eyes of the swamp", "swamp guard". In the north, the name "royal berry" has taken root.
Folk names: moss currant, gloshina, northern orange, Arctic raspberry.
Ontogenesis
In the ontogenesis of cloudberry, three stages are distinguished: a single-walled plant (1-6 years of life), the formation of a curtain (6-10 years), the formation of a clone (from 10 years). The seeds germinate after dormancy in early June. For 5-6 years, one of the dormant underground buds gives escape, so the formation of the curtain begins. With subsequent growth, rhizomes are destroyed, the connection of daughter plants is lost, a clone of many individuals is formed. Clones are especially characteristic of the berry patch habitat with extremely unfavorable environmental conditions.
In natural populations, males predominate over females.
Botanical description
Herbaceous or semi-shrubby plant up to 30 cm tall, with a creeping rhizome.
The stems are thin, erect, with two or three leaves and one apical flower with white petals.
The leaves are wrinkled, round-kidney-shaped, five-lobed, irregularly shaped along the edge.
The flowers are unisexual, single, white. Staminate and pistillate flowers are found on different plants, male flowers are slightly larger. There are five sepals and petals; stamens and pistils are numerous. Blooms in June — July, and after 40-45 days the berries ripen.
The fruit is a combined drupe with a diameter of 1.5 cm, resembles raspberry fruits in shape, but has a special smell and taste. Unripe berries are yellow—red, with some "creakiness", dense, and mature - orange, almost transparent, resemble pure bright amber.
The fruits are harvested in July — August, the roots are harvested in late autumn.
Distribution
Cloudberry grows in the northern hemisphere from 78°N to about 55°N. In very rare cases, it occurs up to 44 ° N, mainly in mountainous areas.
It is found in peat bogs, swampy forests, moss and shrub tundra in the Arctic and northern forest zone of the northern hemisphere, in the middle zone of the European part of Russia, in Belarus, Siberia, and the Far East. Sometimes cultivated.

One of the common diseases of the inhabitants of the polar countries is scurvy. The name of this disease among the Nenets — singa, sigga — is borrowed from the Russians, but methods of combating it were found long before their arrival. Therefore, newcomers suffered more from scurvy until they borrowed medicines from the Nenets, Khanty, Pomors, Evens, Koryaks, Chukchi and Eskimos, which also included cloudberry.
Khanty and Nenets use cloudberry leaves as a dressing and hemostatic material. Khanty people apply cloudberry leaves smeared with fish oil to festering wounds to accelerate their release from pus, changing them twice a day.
Cloudberry was Alexander Pushkin's favorite berry. It is known that before his death he asked his wife for soaked cloudberries.
Protected status
Cloudberry is listed in the Red Book of the Republic of Belarus. Cloudberry is also protected in Poland.

Phelps ' World Records
Main article: World records in swimming set by Michael Phelps
He holds seven current world records (50-meter pool/"long water": 400 m complex, 4×100 m freestyle relay, 4×200 m freestyle relay, 4×100 m combined relay; 25-meter pool/"short water": 4×100 m freestyle relay style).
In total, Phelps set 37 world records on the "long water" (29 individual and 8 in the relay) and surpassed the highest achievement of Mark Spitz, who set 33 world records during his career (26 individual and 7 in the relay). Two more world records in the relay are on Phelps' account in the 25-meter pool (they were set last, after all the records in the 50-meter pool).
Phelps set 24 of his 37 records in the 50-meter pool at three distances: 200 m butterfly (8 records), 200 m (8 records) and 400 m (8 records) complex swimming. He held the world record in the 200 m butterfly continuously from March 2001 to July 24, 2019, and in the 400 m complex since August 2002.
Phelps set the most world records in 2003 (8), 2007 (6), 2008 (9) and 2009 (7) years. I haven't set any world records since December 2009.
Michael Phelps at the Olympics
At the Sydney Olympics in 2000, 15-year-old Phelps became the youngest Olympic swimmer from the USA in the last 68 years. He competed only in the 200-meter butterfly and took fifth place in the final (0.33 seconds separated Phelps from the bronze).
At the Athens Olympics in 2004, the 19-year-old Phelps won eight medals, of which six were gold and two bronze, while setting three Olympic and one world record. In addition, eight medals at one Olympiad is a repetition of the record of the famous Soviet gymnast Alexander Dityatin, who set his achievement at the 1980 Olympics in Moscow.
At the 2008 Beijing Olympics, Phelps won all the distances at which he started and won eight gold medals, breaking Mark Spitz's record (seven gold medals at the 1972 Munich Olympics), which also made him a 14-time Olympic champion. Thus, beating Finnish track and field athlete Paavo Nurmi, American track and field athlete Carl Lewis and his American colleague Mark Spitz, he became the most decorated athlete in the history of the modern Olympic Games.
At the Olympic Games in London in 2012, Phelps surpassed all athletes in all sports by the total number of Olympic awards — 22 medals, breaking the record of Soviet gymnast Larisa Latynina (18), held for 48 years.
At the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro in 2016, Phelps won five gold medals — in the 4×100 m and 4×200 m freestyle relays, 4×100 m in the combined relay, as well as in the 200 m butterfly and 200 m complex swimming. Having won the 200 m complex swimming, he became the first swimmer to win a gold medal at the same distance at four Olympics (and one of four athletes — along with track and field athletes Carl Lewis and Al Orter, who won in the same discipline at four Olympics).
Having won 13 times at individual distances, he broke the record of the ancient Greek athlete Leonid of Rhodes, who won his last 3 gold medals out of 12 for 2168 years before in 152 BC.
Other achievements
At the World Championships in Melbourne in 2007, Phelps won 7 gold medals, while setting 5 world records. At the 2009 World Championships in Rome, Phelps won 5 gold medals and 1 silver, setting 4 world records (2 in individual events and 2 as part of the USA relay team). In 2011, at the World Championships in Shanghai, he won 4 gold, 2 silver and 1 bronze (interestingly, bronze became the first medal of this dignity for Phelps in his rich collection of awards from the World Championships).
Phelps is a 50-time U.S. champion in individual events and relays in 2001-2010. At the same time, he also won three US championships, where distances are measured in yards.
8 times (2003, 2004, 2006-2009, 2012, 2016) he was recognized as the best swimmer of the year in the world, being the absolute record holder for this indicator.
9 times (2001-2004, 2006-2009, 2012) Phelps was recognized as the best swimmer of the year in the USA.

Swiss biathlete
Benjamin Weger (German: Benjamin Weger; born October 5, 1989 in Geschenen, Valais, Switzerland) is a Swiss biathlete.
General information
Benjamin speaks French, German, English and Italian. Among the non-biathlon hobbies of the Swiss are skiing, rock climbing, hiking, fishing and cycling.
Sports career
Weger started biathlon in 2006. In the same year, he holds his first starts at the international level — in the Junior European Cup.
In 2007, the Swiss will make his debut at the Junior World Championship. Over the next three years, he takes part in ten races at this level (including one relay), finishes several times among the ten strongest biathletes and rises to the podium once: in the sprint at the 2009 World Championships. A little earlier, Benjamin finished on the podium at the Junior European Championships, taking third place in the sprint in Nowe Mesto na Morava in 2008.
Seeing the success of the young biathlete, the coaching staff of the Swiss national team gives him the opportunity to make his debut in the World Cup, putting him up for several races at the German stages of the 2008/09 season (including twice for relay races). The only individual race did not go well and Weger was sent back to less significant competitions. A year later, the Swiss returns to the national team, this time showing more stable results and earning the opportunity to participate in the Olympics in a few starts. During this stretch of the season, Benjamin finishes in the Top20 several times.
In the 2010/11 season, Weger is anchored in the national team, regularly participating in both personal and relay races. At the end of December, Benjamin will finish on the podium for the first time in the World Cup, taking second place in the individual race at the stage in Pokljuka. Regularly finishing in the scoring group, the Swiss finishes the season in the Top40 of the absolute standings and first among the Swiss.
A year later, the results continue to grow qualitatively — finishes in the Top10 are becoming more frequent, Benjamin is increasingly fighting for positions on the podium. At the World Championships, Weger falls unsuccessfully during the mass start, which is why he is forced to end the season ahead of schedule. Even after missing the final stage of the season in Khanty-Mansiysk, he takes 18th place in the overall standings and 7th in the pursuit races.
On January 17, 2021 in the Oberhof stage, Germany took 3rd place in the mass start.

Russian rap group
Ellipsis is a Russian rap group from Moscow. Fans and critics attributed this group to genres such as gangsta rap ("hop-hip-hop") and political rap. The author of most of the texts and the unofficial leader of group is Rustam Alyautdinov — "Rustaveli". Under the name "Ellipsis", the band released three numbered albums, as it was conceived back in 1998: three dots — three albums.
The group "Ellipsis" took part in Rap Music in 1999, but did not take the prize. The winner of the Grand Prix of the festival "Micro 2000", at the same festival MC L.E. became the winner in the competition of freestylers. At the "Adidas Streetball Challenge 2001" the band took third place.
In 2006, the breakup of the group was announced, and the group in a frequently changing composition (the only permanent member was its leader Rustaveli) continued its creative activity under the names "DotsFam" and "Ellipsis Band".
Composition
The composition of the group is given according to the official website as of October 2021.

Style
Since the formation of the collective, its members have decided to adhere to strict rules of the chosen line of behavior in creativity and in its implementation. Any attempts to use the name of the collective for dishonest earnings were denied. The organizers of the group's performances were obliged to prevent photo and video recordings that were not approved by the team. If this condition was not met, the concert was stopped, and the blame for the disruption of the concert fell on the organizers. However, over time, this faded into the background, since every second viewer had a phone with a photo and video camera with him. Also, for the entire period of creativity, the Ellipsis group has not shot a single video clip.
There was also a certain style of clothing of the participants — leather jackets, trousers, black shoes. According to the participants, this style was chosen for the reason that the black color is more conducive to the listener's full perception of the lyrics than the combination of different colors, which distracts.
His style of performance "Ellipsis" is called "Kuzminsky" in honor of the district of Moscow, where the group was formed.
History
Group formation
The Ellipsis group was created in Moscow. In 1997, Rustaveli, who wrote poetry, and DJ Hassan, who wrote electronic music, met and began joint creativity and rehearsals. Later, Grel, who studied at the same school with Rustaveli, joined them as a bassist, and Kuzmitch as a second recitator. Finally, guitarist Tyukha was invited to the band[18]. Also among the people who formed the basis of the group are Rustaveli's close friends King Kong and MC L.E.
The date of the appearance of the group "Ellipsis" is November 15, 1998, it was on this day that the first recording was made at the studio. The name emphasizes the understatement that sounds in many of their songs, the constant search for new ways of life .
Ellipsis is what opens the doors to consciousness for you, and which one to enter, which one to stay behind, which one not to enter at all is a personal matter for each of you… Secondly, the ellipsis is what remains after death.
Rustaveli in an interview.
First Albums (1998-2002)
Over time, L.BeeAtch, MC L.E., Gene Grom and Dimon were "recorded" in the group. Most of them were about 20 years old at the time. The band debuted at the Rap Music 99 festival. At this festival "Ellipsis" performed the song "Boshki" [source not specified 1443 days]. In 2000, at the festival "Micro 2000", the group acquired a new participant in the person of MC L.E. and took the Grand Prix. At the Adidas StreetBall Challenge 2001, the band performed the song "It Happens in Life"[the source is not specified for 1443 days], which soon got into the rotation of some radio stations (for example, Love Radio), after which the song "It happens in life" was released on the collection "Voice of the Streets 2". But since 2001, the Ellipsis abandoned this song, they stopped performing it at their performances. Rustaveli later commented on this episode in an interview:
I came up with this song in 1998, and rolled out my verse and chorus from the heart. It's about real feelings and about real events. And this, in my opinion, is a very soulful composition. But the unhealthy excitement that she caused, back then, in 2001, made it clear to me that it was necessary to exclude her from the repertoire... There was too much to say, and that much didn't fit with this song.
In 2001, the debut album "Life and Freedom" was released on the QuadroDisk label. Music criticism (journalists writing for the magazines Billboard Russia, Timeout Moscow and portal Rap.ru ) called the album "Life and Freedom" one of the greatest albums of Russian rap.
Until 2002, the group had a producer — Vladimir Ferapontov. It was he who gave the first album, "Life and Freedom", to the Quadro-Disc label, the profit from which the participants never received, giving the label the rights to distribute the album for six years. In the same year, the second album was released under the name "Atoms of Consciousness" with the song "Anguish in the soul", which became one of the main hits of "Ellipsis". In 2002, the members of "Dots" founded their record label "Dots Family Records", which was engaged in hip-hop music. It was used to release all subsequent albums of "Ellipsis" and related collectives, as well as collections of Russian rap, such as "Hip-hop Quarter" and "Rap Experiences", which included both collectives and performers close to the group, as well as young, unknown and promising teams who sent their demos by mail or gave them away during concerts.
"The Third Way" (2003-2005)
In 2002, the group met with the rap team "M.Squad" from Mitino. The idea comes to make a joint project, this association is called the "Third Way". At the beginning of the following year, the first album of the association "The Third Way" was released — "A piece of life (equal to five years)". As the album's booklet says, "The Third Way" is
the creative path of development, when a person chooses his own path and lives at the limit of the impossible. Sometimes it seems that he knows exactly when and how to act ("he leads" — they say about such people). A person is aware of himself and his place in the world — "knows what he is doing", he fixes his thoughts and actions.
In the same year, 2003, on the fifth anniversary of his band, "Ellipsis" releases a "third" album called "Unnatural", which consists of seven remixes from musicians close to "Ellipsis" and six new tracks. It follows from Rustaveli's interview that this album corresponds to its name — it is not dimensional, that is, it cannot be considered as the third album of the group. On this album there is a track "Ep-t" — the first joint work of "Ellipsis" and Mikhail Cabinetmaker (band "Mahogany").
In 2004, work began on the second album of the association "The Third Way", but M.Squad by that time ceased to exist as a full-fledged collective. Of the five main members of the band, only two participate in the second album — Dimon and Gnome. The "Mahogany Tree" and the "Change of Opinions" group from Voronezh are connected to the recording. MC L.E. returns from Georgia (who has been absent due to life circumstances since 2000) and is also involved in the work. The result is the album "The Third Way — Burime 12". In October of the same year, the maxi-single of the English—speaking member of the group, MC L.E., was released. "In spite of everything" (from English — "No matter what"). The CD includes 10 tracks, including intro and freestyle. 5 of them are remixes of the three presented compositions, headed by the song "In spite of all". The music is entirely produced by Kuzmitch, Dimon and Kapus.
In early 2005, after seven years of work, the album "Distances" by the group "Windows" was released. This is a project consisting of two people: the guitarist and arranger of the band "Ellipsis" — Tyukhi, and vocalist Farochka. The band works in the ethno-rock style with elements of trip-hop. Marina Tsvetaeva's works were used in the creation of the album.
Breakup of the band (2006)
In May 2006, the solo album MC L.E. — "Illegal" was released, in which Rustaveli, Mikhail Cabinetmaker, Kapus, S.S.A., "Fleur" took part. Lasha himself, Kuzmitch and Fat Complex worked on the music. On the song "Someday" with the participation of S.S.A. ("Change of Opinions") a video clip was shot. After the release of the album, MC L.E., tired of the "illegal" life away from home, returns to his homeland, leaving his second self in Russia — named Illegal, who will rap in Russian.
In December 2006, it was reported that the Ellipsis group was ceasing to exist. The breakup of the band was confirmed when an interview with Rustaveli appeared on the official website of Dots Family Records. The reasons why the group curtailed its activities have remained undisclosed. It was only stated that Kuzmitch left on his own (later it will become known that he is now DJ Navvy, MC 1.8).
I'm tired of being the way I was then. And it's not even about the role, but rather about myself. In order to stray from the right path, it is enough to make a few small mistakes, entailing a whole heap of large and very unworthy ones. I don't care about the role, and in general you can do anything, rap or twist nuts, the main thing is to remain human.
Kuzmitch in an interview Rap.ru 2007
Gene Grom chose to pursue law, interrupting his career. MC L.E. was forced to stay in Georgia due to another aggravation of Russian-Georgian relations. Lyuba (L.BeeAtch) preferred to devote herself to her family, in 2010 she gave birth to a son. Keeps in touch with Kuzmitch, Grom and Rustaveli. In addition, in 2006, two members of the group passed away, among them Rustaveli's closest friend and colleague, who was at the origins of the creation of the team — King Kong.
In March 2007, the third numbered album "Dots" was released — "For the Infinity of Time", which is essentially a solo work of Rustaveli, not the team.
The Ellipsis, purely as an Ellipsis, completes its journey with this album. And I think it was a worthy path. And I don't regret anything.

Siamese cats are characterized by color-point color (light coat with darker color on paws, muzzle, ears and tail). This color is a manifestation of incomplete albinism, called acromelanism. The action of acromelanism is associated with the temperature characteristics of a living organism: less pigment is produced in the warm parts of the body than in the cold ones, so the ears, paws, tail and muzzle are colored in a darker color compared to the rest of the body. With age, the contrast of points compared to the body may become smaller. After a year, most point-colored cats have a darkening on the body. Siamese kittens are born completely white, a few days after birth, the points begin to darken, the final color is set at 5-10 months.
Cats from the Siamese-oriental group are able to use their vocal cords, changing the key [source not specified 1143 days] and pitch to express their demands and feelings. They are easy to train.
As a child, he was engaged in figure skating, and after he became interested in hockey, Pavel Datsyuk became his idol. He played hockey in the Moscow club "Polar Bears". He started his career in 2009 as a member of the Moscow Youth Hockey League club "Red Army". In his debut season, he played 53 matches on the court, in which he scored 60 (18 +42) points. He also started the 2010/11 season in the MHL, but in December he got a chance to make his debut in the Kontinental Hockey League and on December 28, 2010, in a match against Ugra, he scored his first goal in the league, which also became victorious.
In total, he played 18 matches for the main team, but he achieved major success that year as part of the "Red Army". With the youth club, he won the Kharlamov Cup, becoming the best sniper and scorer, as well as the most valuable player of the playoffs. Set a league record for the number of goals scored and points scored in the playoffs (17 and 27, respectively). The next two seasons Gusev alternated performances in CSKA and the Red Army, but he failed to gain a foothold in the main army club.
As part of the KHL Stars match 2015, he took part in the competition for the most spectacular shootout, and his attempt became one of the brightest and most memorable to the audience, being the most technically difficult among all participants, and also effective.
As a result, in October 2015, SKA traded Nikita Gusev from Ugra for monetary compensation.
In February 2019, he set a KHL record for the number of assists in the regular season. In the 2018/19 KHL season, he scored 101 points. Newfoundland in Russia is sometimes called a diver.
There is still no consensus among experts about the origin of the breed. The Canadian Guide to Dogs puts forward three main versions of the origin:
The American Kennel Club, as one of the versions, elevates Newfoundlands to large Pyrenean dogs, allegedly brought to Newfoundland by Basque fishermen.
Munchkin are short—legged cats. Their distinctive short paws developed as a result of spontaneous dominant mutation, which sometimes happens to domestic cats. The spine remained unaffected and similar in shape and flexibility as in other domestic cats. Short paws do not interfere with mobility or the ability to move freely. Body changes do not affect the internal organs of the animal. The breed developed through the accidental appearance of lines of domestic cats with shortened limbs and crossing with other domestic cats. Munchkins are excellent, intelligent and easy-to-handle cats. They can be both long-haired and short-haired. Munchkin KSH and Munchkin PDSH differ only in the coat, short—haired have medium, plush, with good protective properties wool, and long-haired - semi-long-haired silky wool with pronounced awn.
Kittens of the Munchkin breed have a kind and friendly character and are quite easy to contact. Also, this breed completely lacks aggression, so you can safely have an animal in the house if you have small children.
The Maine CoonMaine Coon is a breed of cats that originated from the cats of the state of Maine in the northeastern United States. An indigenous breed of cats of North America.
The largest breed of cats, males weigh from 5.9 to 8.2 kg (castrated — up to 15 kg), and females from 3.6 to 5.4 kg (sterilized — up to 7.5—8.5 kg). The height at the withers in adult cats reaches from 25 to 41 cm, and the total length with a tail is up to 120 cm (tail length up to 36 cm). The full potential size of a cat is reached at the age of 3 to 5 years, while in most other cats — at the age of 1 year. However, there are other slowly maturing breeds, also of large size (for example, the Norwegian forest). All individuals of the Maine Coon breed have small tassels on the tips of their ears. The body length of Maine coons is a meter or more, the longest officially registered Maine Coon had a body length of 1 meter 23 centimeters.
Maine Coons are basically a healthy and hardy breed adapted to a climate with snowy winters. Analysis of data on the life insurance of domestic cats in Sweden (2003-2006) allows us to conclude about the average life expectancy of Maine Coons: 12.5 years or more (74% of the registered animals of this breed; over half - 54% — lived 16.5 years or more).
The most serious Maine Coon diseases are common to domestic cats and humans. Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) is the most common heart disease in cats, whether purebred or not. It is believed that for Maine Coons this is the result of autosomal dominant inheritance, manifested in middle-aged and elderly animals. HCMP is a progressive disease that leads to pulmonary edema, sudden paralysis of the hind limbs and death. Therefore, timely diagnosis is extremely necessary. In the USA, there is a practice of DNA testing for the gene responsible for HCMP.
Hip dysplasia is an inferiority affecting one or both joints; Maine Coons and Persians, as large breeds, are most often affected. The disease is also genetically determined, but manifests itself with age, more often in cats, in the form of osteoarthritis — the animal begins to limp.
