Wiesenburg (official name: Wiesenburg/Mark) is a municipality in the Potsdam-Mittelmark district, in Brandenburg, Germany. It is situated 10 km west of Bad Belzig, and 34 km southwest of Brandenburg. It is located in the High Fläming Nature Park.

Since 2000, when 14 surrounding villages voluntarily merged to form the free municipality Wiesenburg/Mark, it has had an area of 218.19 km².

The Down Survey was a cadastral survey of Ireland, carried out by English scientist, William Petty, in 1655 and 1656.

The survey was apparently called the "Down Survey" by Petty, either because the results were set down in maps or because the surveyors made use of Gunther's chain, which had to be "laid down" with every measure.

In August 1649, the New Model Army, led by Oliver Cromwell, went to Ireland to re-occupy the country following the Irish Rebellion of 1641. This Cromwellian conquest was largely complete by 1652. This army was raised and supported by money advanced by private individuals, subscribed on the security of 2,500,000 acres (10,000 km2) of Irish land to be confiscated at the close of the rebellion. This approach had been provided for by the 1642 Adventurers Act of the Long Parliament, which said that the Parliament's creditors could reclaim their debts by receiving confiscated land in Ireland.

Ian Saynor is a British film and television actor. He has appeared in various TV dramas set in Wales, including the film The Corn is Green and episodes of The District Nurse, but is best known for playing Merak in the 1979 Doctor Who serial The Armageddon Factor. He is well known in and around Wales having worked for various production companies, notably S4C, BBC (including BBC Wales and BBC South), and has been involved in many stage productions, mostly in Cardiff and London. He lives in the Cotswolds and is still acting today.

The National Scholastic Surfing Association (NSSA) is a surfing association in the United States. It is a member organization of Surfing America, the National Governing Body of Surfing in the United States. Founded in 1978 by Tom Gibbons, John Rothrock, Chuck Allen, Laird Hayes, Holly Allen, and Rob Hill, the association was formed with the purpose of uniting amateur surfers from around the country under one competitive association tied to the education system. Since much of the membership consists of students, one of the prerequisites in joining the association is the maintenance of good grades, service to the community, and an interest in the sport of surfing.
