Maxim Meshchanin

Igor Vladimirovich Kolyvanov (Russian: Игорь Владимирович Колыванов; born 6 March 1968) is a Russian football manager and a former player. He played as a striker. During his playing career he accumulated 90 goals scored in 333 games at the top level in the Soviet Union as well as in Italy.

He was the head coach of the Russian team that won the UEFA U-17 Championship in 2006. During his playing career he played for Dynamo Moscow, Foggia Calcio, and Bologna F.C. 1909, and was a regular member of the Russian national side.

Sergei Viktorovich Kolotovkin (Russian: Серге́й Викторович Колотовкин; born 28 September 1965, in Magnitogorsk) is a retired Soviet and Russian football player and coach. He last worked as the manager of the Russian Second Division club FC Reutov.

Club career

Kolotovkin played in the Soviet Top League (and later, Russian Top League) with FC Zenit Leningrad, PFC CSKA Moscow, FC Dynamo Moscow, FC Tyumen and Rostelmash Rostov. He played in 157 league matches before he scored his first goal (for Rostelmash in May 1999).

Marcin Kowalczyk (born 9 April 1985 in Wieruszów) is a Polish football defender who plays for GKS Tychy.

Career

Club

In early 2006 Kowalczyk joined GKS Bełchatów, where he played for two years. On 26 February 2008 he signed with FC Dynamo Moscow. In March 2011, he was loaned to Metalurh Donetsk.

In August 2011, he joined Zagłębie Lubin on a one-year contract.

International

He made his first appearance for the Polish national team in a friendly against Ukraine on 20 August 2008.

Igor Vitalyevich Simutenkov (Russian: Игорь Витальевич Симутенков; born 3 April 1973 in Moscow) is a Russian football coach and a former player. Currently, he works as assistant manager at FC Zenit Saint Petersburg.

Club career

Simutenkov started his pro career in the old Soviet league with Dynamo Moscow in 1990. He spent the next five years with Dynamo, the last three in the Russian league, which he led in scoring with 21 goals in 1994. A transfer to Serie A's Reggiana followed, and Simutenkov spent the next five seasons in Italy (the last with Bologna), scoring a total of only 23 goals.

In 1999, Simutenkov transferred to Spanish club Tenerife, and spent three uneventful seasons there. He signed with the Kansas City Wizards in 2002, becoming Major League Soccer's first Russian player. Igor scored four goals in his first season (plus one in playoffs), seven in his second (plus two in playoffs), before missing a big chunk of the third with an injury, ending with a solitary goal in league play. He scored the golden goal in the final of the 2004 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup, but was released by the Wizards following the 2004 season, at which time he returned to Russia and signed with Rubin.

At the end of season 2005, while made only 3 appearances for Rubin, Simutenkov declared his retirement from professional football. He told that he couldn't perform at the high level because of a few serious permanent injuries. However, in 2006 he was included in the squad of FC Dynamo Voronezh, a Second Division side.

Simutenkov is also known for the famous Simutenkov-case in which the European Court of Justice acknowledged the direct effect of the partnership-agreement between the European Communities and Russia. In this judgment Spanish nationality-clauses for non-EU footballers were found in breach with Community law.

Dmitri Viktorovich Kharine (Russian: Дмитрий Викторович Харин, (born 16 August 1968) is a Russian football coach and former professional footballer, who is goalkeeping coach of National League South side Hemel Hempstead Town.

As a player, he was a goalkeeper from 1982 until 2004, notably in the Premier League for Chelsea, after playing for Moscow clubs Torpedo, Dynamo and CSKA. He finished his professional career in the Scottish Premier League with Celtic, before returning to England to play for non-league Hornchurch. He earned international caps for the USSR, CIS and the Russian national football teams.

Kharine joined Luton Town in 2004 as goalkeeping coach, and remained with the club until 2013 late joining Stevenage and Hemel Hempstead Town in a similar capacity.

Russian football

He played for Russian sides Torpedo Moscow, Dynamo Moscow and CSKA Moscow in the early part of his career, before moving to English FA Premier League club Chelsea in December 1992 for £400,000.

Chelsea

With Chelsea, Kharine impressed in their run to the 1994 FA Cup Final – though he conceded four goals in the final itself – and then the club's UEFA Cup Winners' Cup run a year later, where they reached the semi-finals in their first European campaign since the 1970s. His later years at the club were blighted by injury problems and the signing of Dutch goalkeeper Ed de Goey, which limited him to 20 appearances in his last three seasons. In total, he played in 146 games for Chelsea.

Kharine was not fit for inclusion in Chelsea's FA Cup Final triumph at the end of the 1996–97 season (Norwegian Frode Grodås played instead), and was not chosen in the squad for the Cup Winners' Cup and League Cup final victories a year later. When Gianluca Vialli became Chelsea manager he established de Goey as the club's first choice goalkeeper; Kharine was limited to five appearances that season, mainly in cup games. He remained at the club as a reserve goalkeeper for a further two seasons after this.

Celtic

Kharine signed for Scottish side Celtic in the summer of 1999 on a free transfer. He arrived at Celtic Park as the first signing of new management team John Barnes and Kenny Dalglish, but injury problems ensured that he played just 11 games for the club (8 in the league).

Hornchurch

He was released in the summer of 2002 and signed for non-League club Hornchurch, where he was sent off on his debut.

Igor Ivanovich Dobrovolski (Russian: Игорь Иванович Добровольский, Ukrainian: Ігор Іванович Добровольський, Ihor Ivanovych Dobrovolskyi; born 27 August 1967) is a football manager and a former player. He is the head coach of FC Dinamo-Auto Tiraspol.[1]

He started his career in the Moldavian SSR, then played in the Russian SFSR, Spain, Switzerland, Italy, France and Germany before retiring in Moldova.

Club career

Born in Markivka, Rozdilna Raion, Odessa Oblast, Ukrainian SSR, Dobrovolski trained at Tiraspol Children and Youth Sport School N4 in Moldavian SSR in early years (now in Transnistria). During his extensive career he played for Nistru Chişinău, Dynamo Moscow, Castellón, Servette, Genoa, Olympique de Marseille, Atlético Madrid, Fortuna Düsseldorf and Tiligul Tiraspol.

International career

Dobrovolski played for three different national teams: USSR at the 1988 Olympic Games where he was a gold medal winner and finished second top goal scorer with six goals (including one in the Gold Medal game itself); Romário scored seven but Brazil lost in the final to USSR. He was also part, with the same team, of the 1990 FIFA World Cup, representing afterwards the CIS at UEFA Euro 1992 and Russia at Euro 1996. He scored CIS's only goal in UEFA Euro 1992, in a 1–1 draw against Germany.

Four players have had the honour of scoring at least one goal in five successive matches at the Men's Olympic Football Tournament – Igor Dobrovolski (USSR in 1988), Ottmar Hitzfeld (FR Germany in 1972), Milan Galić (Yugoslavia in 1960) and Adolfo Baloncieri (Italy in 1928). Only Dobrovolski and Galić actually claimed gold.

Rolan Aleksandrovich Gusev (Russian: Ролан Александрович Гусев; born 17 September 1977) is a Russian professional football coach and a former player who played as a midfielder. He is the manager of the Under-19 squad of CSKA Moscow.

Club career

Gusev played for Dynamo Moscow since 1997 and transferred to the city rivals CSKA Moscow in 2002. With CSKA he won two Russian championships, two Russian Cups and the UEFA Cup.

International career

As of 1 January 2006 Gusev scored over 50 goals in his 200+ appearances in the Russian Premier League. He played 2 matches for Russia at Euro 2004.

Valery Semyonovich Kleymyonov (Russian: Валерий Семёнович Клеймёнов; born 10 September 1965) is a Russian football coach and a former player. He works as a goalkeeping coach for Nizhny Novgorod.

Yuri Mikhailovich Kovtun (Russian: Юрий Михайлович Ковтун; born 5 January 1970) is a Russian football coach and a former defender, well known as a 1990s Russia national football team player, as well as Dynamo Moscow and Spartak Moscow stopper.

Playing career

Kovtun's career started in minor Russian club Luch Azov in 1988. Then he proceed his career as professional player in FC SKA Rostov-na-Donu and FC Rostselmash Rostov-on-Don. In 1992, Rostselmash and Kovtun starred in first Russian championship where they unexpectedly promoted to 8th place. Kovtun was impressive during the season so two top teams were interested in him at the same time, it is Dynamo and Spartak Moscow. In 1993, Kovtun chose Dynamo Moscow and was their key player for years, until his move to Spartak in 1999.

While the only Kovtun's honour during 6 years in Dynamo was Russian Cup in 1995, he could get 3 titles in 1999, 2000 and 2001 after joining Spartak. Moreover, he took part in numerous UEFA Champions League games and found himself regular Russian national football team player.

International career

Kovtun played for Russian international team 50 times, scoring 2 goals. Most notable moments of his international career were long shot goal to Yugoslavia during 2002 World Cup qualifier and own goal in 0–1 away loss to Iceland Euro 2000 qualifying. He was a part of Russian squad in the Euro 96 and World Cup 2002 finals. Kovtun was sent off in Euro 96 for a lunge at Germany's Dieter Eilts.

Current activity

During 2005, Spartak's veteran could not gain first team place and most of the season played for reserves. In January 2006 he left Spartak Moscow for just relegated into Russian First Division Alania Vladikavkaz. He retired in 2007 and became a manager for FC MVD Rossii Moscow. FC MVD advanced to Russian First Division under his supervision.

8 Jun 2009, Kovtun resigned from FC MVD manager position and was replaced by Vladimir Eshtrekov.

Anton Vladimirovich Shunin (Russian: Антон Владимирович Шунин; born 27 January 1987) is a Russian footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Dynamo Moscow and the Russian national team.

Club career

Shunin is a youth product of Dynamo Moscow. He made his debut on 21 April 2007 in a 2–1 win over Khimki.

On 17 November 2012, Shunin was struck by a firecracker thrown from the stands during a Russian Premier League match against FC Zenit Saint Petersburg. After the match had been stopped, it was confirmed that Shunin had sustained a burn of the cornea in one eye.

He was voted as player of the month for November 2019 by Dynamo fans.

On 4 August 2020, he was voted Player of the Year by Dynamo fans for the 2019–20 season, the prize he also won in 2018–19. He was voted player of the month again for August 2020 and September 2020.

On 16 November 2021, he extended his contract until the end of the 2023–24 season.

International career

He made his international debut on 27 August 2007 in a friendly match which ended 2–2 against Poland.

After a three-year break, he was called up for the national team again for a friendly game against Belgium on 17 November 2010.

He was confirmed for the finalized UEFA Euro 2012 squad on 25 May 2012.

After another 6 years without call-ups, he was included in the squad for the games against Turkey and Czech Republic in September 2018, two months after then retirement of goalkeeper Igor Akinfeev from international football. He played his first competitive match for his country on 19 November 2019 in a Euro 2020 qualifier against San Marino, keeping a clean sheet.

In the UEFA Nations League in 2020, Shunin gradually became the first choice goalkeeper of the national team.

On 11 May 2021, he was included in the preliminary extended 30-man squad for UEFA Euro 2020. On 2 June 2021, he was included in the final squad. He played the opening game against Belgium as Russia lost 0–3. He did not appear in the remaining games as Russia was eliminated at group stage.
