However, the software continued to run by enough people who continued to mine the coin.
Another group developed a nyancoin after the original Nyancoin was launched in 2014. This coin was 10 percent pre-mined, offering the founders a chance to earn more of the coin, while the coin did not work properly and did not receive support of the Nyan Cat creator. This imitation coin was later renamed to CRD and disappeared soon after.
