This slows down investor reaction times and they are not as quick to respond to changing market conditions. This limits their choices automatically to markets where they could have got wider prices spreads.

Market investors may therefore be guided through options with lower spreads and higher liquidity. It is about predicting latency and understanding latency; the idea is to have as little latency as possible when trying to manage risks and pricing algorithms.
