FoodMaestro is a smart, simple and personalised app that helps find the right foods for you and your family. The app benefits food allergy and intolerance sufferers, and those with specific diets e.g. vegans, vegetarians, gluten-free, low-sugar, dairy-free or nut-free to find and discover safe foods. The FoodMaestro app, helps you decipher complex nutritional labelling without having to read the label. When scanning a barcode or performing a product search, the app presents a sad or smiley face, which indicates if foods are safe. Our main aim is to provide greater food choices making it easier to find what you can eat, rather than what you can’t. FoodMaestro and Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust are collaborating to create new digital products for patients and healthcare professionals based on food allergy and intolerance research.

Pierre Déchelotte, MD, PhD, has been Professor of Nutrition at Rouen University Hospital since 2001 and is Director of the INSERM 1073 laboratory “Nutrition, Inflammation and Gut-Brain Axis Dysfunction”. While completing his clinical training in Gastroenterology and Digestive Physiology in Rouen, he defended a PhD thesis at the University of Paris VII and deepened his understanding of the gut metabolism during postdoctoral work in Hanover. He subsequently focused on nutrition, continuing his hospital-university career in Rouen, where he created and developed the Department of Clinical Nutrition.

TargEDys is dedicated to the modulation of appetite and develops functional food, medical food and pharmaceutical products to harness the microbiome's ability to regulate appetite and thus maintain or restore weight and metabolic health. TargEDys is an innovative start-up whose activity is based on world-leading research from company founders Serguei Fetissov and Pierre Déchelotte, who have identified and described the first molecular link of the gut-brain axis: proteins from gut bacteria were found to be 'molecular mimetics' of peptide hormones involved in the regulation of eating behaviour in the brain and peripheral organs.

Serguei Fetissov MD, PhD, was graduated from Military Medical Academy in St Petersburg and received his PhD from Institute of Developmental Biology of Russian Academy of Science in Moscow combined with training in Pierre & Marie Curie University in Paris. He worked as a researcher and principle investigator for more than 20 years in the field of physiology, neuroscience and nutrition in academic institutions including College de France in Paris, Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, USA and Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm, Sweden.
