Founded in 2019, 8-Bit Capital is a venture capital firm headquartered in San Francisco, California.
Launched by co-founders Kent Lindstrom and Jonathan Abrams, the firm plans to focus on investments in startups that connect people and businesses in new ways.
8-Bit's founders have a history of working together. Abrams is the founder of news discovery company Nuzzel, which had raised funding from backers such as Andreessen Horowitz and CRV prior to being acquired by Scroll in early 2019; he also founded Friendster, an online social networking site that received backing from investors including Benchmark and Kleiner Perkins. Lindstrom held the title of CEO at both businesses.
Abrams is also co-founder and managing partner at Founders Den, a San Francisco-based provider of a workspace and community geared toward startups and investors. Lindstrom, meanwhile, has hosted Silicon Valley-focused podcast "Something Ventured" since 2017.
