Avatr Technology is a replacement for the Changan Nio New Energy Automotive Technology joint-venture (with Nio), with battery provider CATL and Huawei involved instead. In November 2021, the firm revealed an electric SUV called the Avatr 11.
Avatr Technology, a subsidiary of Changan Automobile, has launched a high-performance line of electric vehicles under the AVATR brand and introduced the first electric vehicle, the AVATR 11.
Avatr Technology was founded in 2018 with the merger of Changan and Azera. At the end of May this year, she changed her name to Avatr and began independent activities.
The first AVATR 11 rolled off the production line in October. The official launch is planned for the second quarter of next year, and mass production and deliveries are scheduled to begin in the third quarter.
AVATR's high-tech production line is located in Chongqing, which can produce up to 350,000 vehicles per year. The company has set itself the goal of producing four cars within five years.
Avatr Technology currently has an engineering, research and production center in Chongqing, a branding and software development center in Shanghai, and a design office in Munich.
