Aave Grants DAO is a grant program funding ideas that are submitted by Aave protocol’s community. The program has a focus on assisting a wide array of community developers. Aave Grants DAO has allocated $1 million each quarter for two quarters to fund grants. The grants program was created following a community discussion on Aave's governance forum. Aave Grants DAO's mission is to provide grants to projects, ideas, and events beneficial to Aave and its ecosystem.
There are two types of grants available: rapid grants and community grants. Rapid Grants are a maximum of $100k with an expedited process. The application is shared with members of the grants committee. If they express interest, a call is scheduled to talk about the application before a decision is made. Community Grants range from $100k-$500k. If interested, a call is scheduled to talk about the application and the applicant is asked to share their proposal on the community forum. Community feedback is incorporated before a final decision is made. For grants more than $500k, applicants are asked to directly share their proposal on the community forum but can contact the committee for feedback. This kind of grant approval is outside Aave Grants DAO's mandate. Applications are received on a rolling basis.
