Aavegotchi

Aavegotchi is a platform that was developed by a Singapore-based team that works for Pixelcraft Studios. The platform is for non-fungible tokens (NFTs), and users of the platform can develop, stake, play, sell, and compete with their NFTs. It was officially launched in September 2020 on the Ethereum network.

The NFTs on the platform are called Aavegotchi, and they are staked with DeFi-enabled ERC20 tokens powered by Aave. The tokens are called aTokens on the platform. Aavegotchi double as NFTs and virtual pets in the form of pixelated ghost characters that all have varying traits, which make them unique. They exist with the Gotchiverse, an open-world space where users can earn rewards through play-to-earn games. This space can be accessed by first connecting a wallet, such as Clover or Wallet Connect.

Gotchiverse Introduction

The tokens that can be used are called GHST, which means ghost, and are a reference to the NFTs. GHST is a governance token that can be traded on Binance, Bitvavo, and Quickswap. Another token used on the platform is Gotchua Alchemica, which can be used as gaming currency in the company's flagship game, Gotchiverse. GLTR is the decentralized liquidity reward token that is used on the platform.
